Upgrading from PayGo 4.0 to 4.1 |
IMPORTANT: If you are on PayGo 3.x or lower, do NOT run this update. Please submit a ticket to the PayGo Support team and they will assist you.
To upgrade from PayGo 4.0 to PayGo 4.1, do the following steps.
Log into the Customer Mecca at http://paygopos.com/support.html
Login with your account information. Click on the Get Updates button.
You will be presented with a download page. Download the Host installer to your computer that is your Host or Server computer.
Download the Client updater to all of your client computers.
If you are running FileMaker Pro Server in a multiuser environment, do the following initial steps. (If you are running PayGo in a single user format, skip to step 2.)
1. Stop the FileMaker Pro Server service
The FileMaker Server will close down the databases and you can then perform your update.
Starting the Update
2. As an added safeguard, back up your PayGo SP directory to an exterior source, such as a CD-RW, Zip or external hard drive.
3. Quit out of PayGo before beginning the update.
4 . Locate the PayGo Updater that you downloaded from our website. Double-click on it to start the installation process. (The file may be compressed in zip format. You must decompress it prior to running it.)
5. The updater will bring you through a series of instructions and then begin the upgrade process. At this point user intervention won't be required.
6. On the host computer, the updater will replace your paygo_interface.CJI with a new one. It will also present you with the option to install new files. If you have made OpenSorta customizations to any of the presented files, you should select Skip when given the option to replace.
7. On your client computers, run the Client Updater.
Note: The 4.1 upgrade will install FileMaker 9 on your computer if you don't already have it. It will also utilize your currently activated authorize.CJI file.
8. Restart PayGo, starting with your Host machine if you use a multi-workstation setup.
