PayGo Install Tidbits of Great Help

Get Ready to Try PayGo, but just chill for just a bit.

Here’s the deal, PayGo is on the cloud, but because PayGo does retail and Point of Sale (POS), we use something called a Java Smart Client to run PayGo. It provides a much more supreme retail transaction experience.

This means PayGo does NOT run in your browser! (Safari, Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc)

To try out the demo, click on the green download arrow at the top of any of our web pages.

BUT FIRST, glance at these simple points:

You’ll first be presented with a form looking for information. Put in what you want here (we love creativity) but make sure you provide a real email so you can get installation information from us. When the form is all filled out and you hit the Launch Arrow, the following will happen:

This is what you’ll see first.

If not!? Then your computer has a Java issue. We can fix that for you by you going here and telling us of your Java problems.

This little guy will pop up next. Sure, he looks intrusive and to some, creepy, but it’s something you have to allow to let PayGo run on your computer.

Note, you may see a few other similar windows such as this. We assure you, you can click Allow on these also.

Other prompts may contain the words: Servoy, Trapman Marcellinus, Dr. Maison & Partner GmbH.  These are folks or companies who make plugins which provide add-on functionality.

The next 2 steps typically happen only on Macintosh computers.

First, you’ll likely see an onslaught of these guys. They are the installer windows for all of the plugins.  Click continue for each box that appears asking you to Continue.

This is the next window you get.  Hit Install to finish up.  These install windows will come up on Macintosh computers many times.  Please go ahead and click through them to finish up your installation.

If all worked well, you will eventually get to the login screen. Your first login will be the email and password you defined when you signed up for the demo.

If PayGo launches, but all you see is a gray screen, then there is something wrong with your Java configuration. Most times, taking these steps will help fix this issue:

Try to reconfigure your Java by doing this:
For Macintosh, do the following:
- Open the Java Preferences in the Utilities folder. [Tip: In finder, go up to Go and down to Utilities]
- Click on Network Tab
- Click on Network Settings
- Select the Direct Connection
- Click Ok
- Click out of Java preferences
- Try launching PayGo again by going here: https://ch.us1.paygosaas.com:8443/
For Windows, try this:
- Open Java in your Control Panel
- Click on General Tab
- Click on Network Settings
- Select the Direct Connection
- Click Apply
- Try launching PayGo again by going here: https://ch.us1.paygosaas.com:8443/
If you’re still having issues, there may be a networking issue and/or firewall issue in your environment. PayGo uses ports 1099 and 8443. Sometimes, you have to have your network administrator open these ports for PayGo to work for you.
